SecurEnvoy, provider of token less authentication solutions, has
introduced SecurAccess, its flagship two-factor token-less
authentication solution in India. This solution is designed to turn
any phone that can receive SMS texts into a secure, one-time
authentication token.
According to a media release, the solution will help replace the
prevalent and cost intensive practice of providing sensitive network
access information to their customers, such as ATM PIN, Internet
banking passwords etc., on physical tokens or pieces of paper.
SecurAccess allows organizations to provide remote staff with
industry standard two-factor authentication without the pain and cost
of deploying legacy hardware tokens. Fully integrating into
Microsoft Active Directory, Novell E-Directory, Sun Directory Server
and OpenLDAP, SecurAccess integration is simple, requires no schema
changes, no additional databases, no complex testing, support and
training.
The solution is user friendly and doesn't require any deployments to
be done on user's phone. Its patented system sends a six-digit
passcode to a user's mobile phone via SMS.
Users then simply access the passcode from their mobile phone's SMS
text store and enter it along with their UserID and Microsoft
password, or PIN, to access protected corporate systems.
Once the passcode has been used, a new one is sent to the user's
phone, automatically replacing the previous code. Since, the solution
requires minimal end-user training and support costs, this results in
a significant lower total cost of ownership for two-factor
authentication projects.
September 2008 SecurEnvoy selects TechAccess as Benelux distribution partner. SecurAccess to be bundled with all Juniper Networks SA appliancesSecurEnvoy has selected TechAccess, a security integrating distributor, as its premier distribution partner in Benelux. TechAccess will be selling SecurEnvoy’s entire portfolio of two factor authentication solutions for remote access, email and Microsoft Windows password management. SecurEnvoy’s flagship product, a full version of SecurAccess will also be bundled with all Juniper Networks Secure Access SSL VPN appliances sold by TechAccess at no additional cost to the customer.
SecurAccess, is an easy-to-use solution that enables remote workers to use an sms message as a second authentication factor. Instead of relying on tokens or smart cards, users are sent a passcode to their mobile phone, which they use in conjunction with their Microsoft User ID and password to log on to the network. Once a passcode has been used, it is immediately superseded with a new one sent to the phone.
“Organisations no longer want to be burdened with the maintenance and security risks
associated with giving employees smartcards or tokens which all too often get lost or mislaid. With SecurAccess no additional hardware is required, leading to significant cost savings,” says Berry van Waayenburg General manager at TechAccess. “Our partnership with SecurEnvoy presents an excellent opportunity for the channel to add value to the solutions they sell, and increase the profitability of each SSL sale.”
Steve Watts, UK sales director for SecurEnvoy, is delighted with the deal. "TechAccess experience and expertise in networking and secure mobility, coupled with its reputation for delivering outstanding service to its resellers made it an ideal fit with our business. We are confident that this partnership will help us to drive sales across Benelux.”
